  6. sensuous dance that sets the pelvis-to-pelvis physicality of
  7. Dirty Dancing to a steamy Brazilian beat. Spawned on the
  8. northeast coast of Brazil, the lambada has swept through France
  9. this summer. A soda commercial showing young bodies entwined in
  10. a lambada frenzy was an instant hit, and Lambada, a song that
  11. served as the ad's sound track, has sold more than 1 million
  12. copies.

  14.     The lambada is especially hot along the Cote d'Azur, where
  15. touring Brazilian dancers are showing French vacationers how to
  16. thrust their stuff. But is the lambada just this summer's hype?
  17. "It will become a classic," declares singer Loalwa Braz. "And
  18. it will be even more agreeable to dance in the winter. It's a
  19. way to keep warm."
